Support
|
The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems (IEMS) values the support and guidance of our students, faculty, administrators and industry partners. As such, we are always looking for ways to incorporate your inputs into our drive for World Class Excellence. There are many ways to help support IEMS and our Mission: Naming the DepartmentNaming our Department would provide a global recognition for the donor by allowing the donors’ name to be associated with world class engineering education and research at IEMS. This would also provide a great tax-deductible way of exposing your company to the world (as part of the 6th largest University in the U.S., the IEMS Department is networked into world-wide industry and governmental agencies). Volunteer OpportunitiesWe hold Informational Fairs with schools and students throughout the State of Florida to help stimulate interest in industrial and systems engineering, and engineering management in general, and our Department specifically. If you’d like to be a volunteer at these Fairs, we would welcome your support (we would train you at your convenience). Naming OpportunitiesOur Department is responsible for 10 High Quality, Innovative laboratories. In these labs, we train our students and perform vital research on our numerous Research Contracts. If you would like to Name one of these labs (in the name of your company, a loved one, or a personal naming), contact us! It’s a great tax deductible method of helping our Department, while immortalizing something dear to you. Research OpportunitiesUniversities strive for research. Our department has the knowledge, expertise and facilities with which to perform necessary research in the areas of Engineering Management; Modeling, Simulation & Training, Systems Engineering; Human -Systems Integration; Operations Research; Logistics; Nano Design; Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping; Quality Systems, and Human Factors/Ergonomics, Human Computer Interaction and Virtual Environments. If you are an industry partner that needs help on one of your projects, consider utilizing our student and faculty talent to fill that need. Our students are gaining worldwide recognition, and our partnering costs are much less than partnering with other industry. Not only do you get timely and up-to-date research support, but you also get the satisfaction of knowing you helped create experience for a future Industrial Engineer. ScholarshipsWe have various opportunities for scholarships within the Department. Give money directly to a needy student, while recognizing it under you company or loved ones’ name. Scholarship donations can run from $25,000 and higher. This money can be placed in a general fund (wherever the need arises at the discretion of the Department), or specifically to a student meeting your specific requirements (i.e. Need, Scholarship, Area of Expertise, Ethnicity, etc.).
